Would you believe me if I told you I didn’t intentionally make this dragon eye 🫠
I had actually started making something completely different with a different stone altogether. I almost abandoned the piece multiple times because I just wasn’t liking where it was going. The energy felt tangled. Unsettled. Like the wire was resisting me.
Shortly before I sat down to create this, a woman tried to run my dog, my wife, and I over with her car because my dog peed in front of her house. The kind of moment that sends adrenaline and rage pulsing through your entire body.
I identify deeply with dragon energy and in that moment my dragon absolutely came out. Protective. Territorial. Ancient. The part of me that guards the people I love with teeth bared.
So I sat down and started weaving to alchemize all that energy moving through me.
I got almost to the end of the piece with one empty space left to fill and something whispered: turn it sideways.
The second I did, the eye looked back at me.
Suddenly everything made sense. The shape. The movement. The tension in the wire. Somewhere along the way I had subconsciously switched from the agate I intended to use to rose quartz. A stone of love. Softness. Compassion. Heart healing.
And somehow out of anger and protection came this: a dragon eye made of rose quartz.
A guardian formed around the heart instead of the wound 🧿
That’s the thing about creating sometimes. You think you’re the one leading until the work decides what it wants to become 🐉🌹
